Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a cancer affecting the lining of the lung, abdominal cavity, or chest cavity. The disease is almost exclusively linked to exposure to asbestos, a hazardous material that was widely used in hundreds of industries worldwide. Asbestos fibers, which are extremely toxic, break apart easily and become airborne. Once the fibers are ingested or inhaled, they permanently fix themselves in the lung, abdominal, or chest cavities leading to life-threatening risks such as mesothelioma.
Personal Injury
Accidents and injuries have become a virtually unavoidable aspect of modern life and can affect anyone at anytime. When accidents or injuries occur, the effects can be devastating, even life-altering. However, the fact that they are commonplace does not mitigate such effects. Those who have suffered harm or injury as the result of someone else’s negligence or wrongdoing have legal rights, which are defined by an area of law widely referred to as personal injury.
Medical Malpractice
Medical malpractice occurs when a doctor, nurse, hospital, or other healthcare provider fails to meet the required standards of care when treating a patient, which may result in serious injury or death. Every year in the United States, almost 100,000 people suffer severe harm from medical mistakes, according to a Harvard Medical Study.
